All the above items are issued at Company expense, and remain the property of the Company. Aircrew are responsible for the maintenance of personal equipment in reasonable condition, and are to ensure that repairs, especially to such items as boots, are carried out before the article becomes worn to such an extent as to be uneconomical to repair.

The attached card is to be signed against all articles held by the member concerned, and the number held and approximate date of issue of each item is to be entered. The card is then to be returned for filing at Sydney.

Where the member is below the scale of issue for any item, the discrepancy will be made up when the member returns to Sydney. In the case of overalls, the re-issue of these items will begin two years from the date on which flying overalls were last obtained. It will be necessary in every case for measurements to be checked. One pair of flying overalls is to be returned to store, when re-issue takes place.

In the case of aircrew leaving the employ of the Company, all clothing and equipment on issue is returnable to the Company. In the event that equipment on issue is not returned, the Company reserves the right to recover an amount from the member to cover the depreciated value at the date of the member leaving.
