DC-3 VH-DAS photographed at Eagle Farm, Brisbane on 4 July 1974. The
white hangar behind the aircraft is the heritage listed Hangar 7 which
was the wartime base for testing captured Japanese aircraft. It was
subsequently used by TAA for the overhaul of aircraft, mainly DC-3s
but also Bristol Freighters and Drovers among others. In 2006, plans
are underway to incorporate the building within a heritage precinct
on the old airport site.
